May 11, 200422 yr Dear support,I discovered a strange hick-up sound when flying the 737 in FS2004?Its like a small zoom sound for just 1 second and everything stands still for also +/- 1 second....It happends sometimes every minute but also sometimes one's in +/- 5 minutes more or less....its depends every time. If I fly other planes there's nothing wrong with the video and sound!?Whats wrong?Regardsvortovor
May 11, 200422 yr Commercial Member Sounds like you need to update your sound drivers, or adjust your directX sound settings.Best,VinPMDGwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/devteam.jpg Vin Scimone Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com
May 11, 200422 yr Hello again,Sorry, but I tried ALL configurations of my SB5.1 Live external card with no succes. I also tried ALL DXDiag options! Also I tried diffrend drivers - old and new- for my card.In a post before I saw someone with a simmilar problem!Again, this has something to do with the PMDG sound, because with all other planes (PIC, Dreamfleet,Phoenix and PSS).... I don't have this anoying problem! And what I not ment before, there's a slightly crackling sound with the PMDG (was not the most important thing but worth to mention it now)Thanks again, vortovor

If not, then you probably have this problem. The way to see if you're sharing an interrupt in XP is to right-click on My Computer, then select properties, hardware, device manager, then click on View, and select Resources by Type, and then look at IRQ.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/75572.jpgIn the attached picture, you'll see that on my computer, the SB audigy card and a motherboard USB controller are sharing an interrupt. This isn't too bad. But if you're sharing an interrupt with a disk controller, video card, or IDE channel, you're likely to have problems. The worst news is that the only known workaround is to physically move your card to another PCI slot - this generally forces an IRQ change.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/75572.jpg
