AM TRYING TO OPEN THE EXTERIOR DOORS...ONE REPLY WAS TO HIT ALT AND THEN ASSIGN A COMMAND IN THE PMDG OPEN DOORS SELECTION...FOR ME, USING A CD, NOT A DOWNLOAD, THERE IS NO OPEN DOORS SELECTION TO PRODUCE A COMMAND KEY...SO WHAT DON'T I UNDERSTAND? THANKS.

That is a new feature that was added to the 800/900 the only thing you have missed is all the great features with the new bird. Sorry. You should definately get it you will not be let down.

Actually, there is a way you can do this with the 600/700.You need to remap the default key in FS for the Select Door (normally Shift+E). Change it to a single key, like 'D' or whatever you wish to use, but as long as it doesn't invlove a Shift or Ctrl, etc.Then to open the main door press and release the key once. To open the rear door is bit tricky, but doable. Hold down the assigned key for around 2-3 seconds and then press '2' and hold both keys for a brief moment before letting go. You should find that will work, but you may need to practice a little.As mentioned, this is not an issue in the 800/900 as PMDG have done a great job with allowing you to map these 'difficult' keys.Cheers and good luck!Khurram
