Pulsing/Buzzing sound with 737NG

Featured Replies

Hi,I've just installed the PMDG 737NG package and the only sound I have is a pulsing buzzing sound... that's it!Has anyone seen this problem before?ps All other FS9 aircraft are finethanks

Hi mr. NamelessPlease read the forum rules pinned at the top! ;-)You are probably hearing the rectifiers humming and/or the standby HSI vibrator ticking. It could also be the recirc fan. Also check you don't have your throttles firewalled when starting up the NG as the TOCW (Take-off configuration warning) will sound off.The NG is not your quiet, cozy little office cubicle you know... ;-)Hope it helps,

?????????????Apart from authentic background sounds, there is also an issue with SoundBlaster Live audio cards and drivers. If you have one, you need to download the latest drivers.David.

Hi All,The sounds I'm hearing are not by design, it's definatly a problem with the 737NG software.David... thanks for the heads up on the Soundblaster issue, I will download the latest drivers as suggested and give it a go.Thanks againAnthony.

... and where are the lastest drivers and what version number do they have.RegardsAnders Persson

Finally I managed to solve the problems I had with my SoundBlaster drivers. See the Scandinavian Virtual Airlines forum for a complete instruction to how I did solve my problems.http://www.scandva.org/dcforum/DCForumID1/4083.htmlBest regardsAnders Persson
