Flying off the set course

Featured Replies

I set a plan in the fmc and then when i engage the auto pilot, it flies the route but always off the set course either to the side of the set course or at an angle to it.Any help on this matter would be appreciated.

Hi AndrewIt sounds like you are experiencing the influence of crosswinds. But can not be sure. A screenshot would be nice!Cheers,

I reset all weather and it still flies off the set course? Thanks for the sharp reply ;-)

So much for that guess! ;-)Distance between waypoints? Flying with or without the 800/900 add-on?There is a known discrepancy in the 600/700 release with the ND not drawing the path using a great circle. Thus the aircraft and the path will diverge the further away from a waypoint you are. This is clearly more visible the further the distance between the waypoints. If not the above I'm at a loss.Hope it helps,
