June 15, 200421 yr im running between 6-15 frames with the sliders to around 70% maxed out. traffic at 70%I Have The following InstalledPMDG 737NG -600 -700Active CameraUltimate Traffic 2004Intel P4 2.4Ghz fsb800512 MB dual RamIS7 motherboardTI 4200 graphics Does anyone else have such low frames??
June 15, 200421 yr Nah, seems to be very low on FPS to mee. Must be something that drag down your fps. What kind of weather do you have? Are in VC? Any detailed add-on sceneries? When are you reading the FPS, on ground, enroute? Also open your task manager and see if you have too many unnecessary prosesses going, often this will lead to serious fps hit.Maybe your graphics(I have the same) may set you back a little, and a little more RAM wouldn't hurt, but actually your system should cope well. http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/checkcapt.jpg
June 15, 200421 yr Try turning off the detailed cloud effects. Makes a HUGE difference on my machine. Also, what resolution are you running at? Is this occurring around big airports? Sitting at Heathrow with Ultimate Traffic will definately nail you.
June 16, 200421 yr Your TI 4200 is older technology now. Also it does not support DirectX9 very well and FS9 is a DirectX9 title, this means either the processor on the graphics card or your main cpu is doing alot of work translating dx9 into something the graphics card understands. If you were looking to upgrade I would consider a graphics card that supports DirectX9 natively.cheers, Nick
June 17, 200421 yr First thank you for your help. :()I always use the VC view and i use weather that comes with the adventure (I fly for a virtual airline) or i use real weather.Ok so I understand that I have to spend a little cash on a new graphics card. Well I must admit that I suspected that my current graphicscard was dragging my system down a bit. :((Could anyone tell my what FPS to expect If i bought a new card??What is your FPS??thanks again......Only Pilots know why birds sing...
