Flex it baby

Hi PMDG Team !I would like to ask, if you will implement flexing wings on the 747-400. I think Flex wings is a needed feature due to the rate of realism.Waiting for news....Marcello

"I think Flex wings is a needed feature due to the rate of realism."Flexing wings increasing the rate of realism...hmmm...not really. I'm sure people think they look cool and all but if I could have that feature or a fully functional IRS-I think I'd choose the latter.John http://homepage.eircom.net/~eamonnmca/images/logo_ba.JPGwww.bavirtual.co.uk Senior Captain Simflight.com Staff Reviewer

Bah... i don't even see how flexing wings can improve the realism...But tastes are tastes :)

Ive just been in a real -800, window seat behind the wing and I can tell you the wing bounces like crazy, and we are doing a slow taxi on a smooth tarmac!I think it would be amazing to have wing flex but I feel this maybe a FS issue rather than a PMDG one. I dont know of any plane in FS2004 with wing flex, and to accurately simulate its ground/air performance sounds like a really tall order, probably at the expense of frame rates and development of more important functionality.Maybe Microsoft will add wing flex capability to FS2006 or does the framework exist for programming it in 2004/2002?Best regardsmcbootus

Hmmm...Actually I think/hope the team will focus on the realism on the flight deck.I have still to see a captain walking out in the cabin to watch the wings go up and down on any real world flight. ;-)Can you even see anything more than perhaps the wing tips from the office of the 747-400?Cheers,

Just to add my 2 cents! Has anyone seen the wing flex on SGA's DC-10 models? It's really incredible to watch from a wing point of view, as the wings actually flex according to the turbulence encountered. Best RegardsBoone,[email protected]"Flying a plane is no different from riding a bicycle. It's just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes."

How about something for everyone? We're actually focusing on every aspect of the plane... including the ability to stretch your legs, walk around and check out the wings during those 12 hour flights. A list of features should be completed and announced here soon. Sincerely,

Flexing wings increasing the rate of realism...hmmm...not really. It's something the real plane has... Therefore, adding it will improve the realism. Let's see what the announcement says, I am sure PMDG will do its best to implement whatever it can.DPhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpgThe official psychotic AA painter. :)

Yep... asking for flexing wings isn't nearly as bad as what some other company making an ng which has 990 different pushback trucks apparently. Overkill? Yes

Hi !I especially meant the standard Flex, like the one that the Posky 747-400 has. The Wings flex up when you rotate the plane and it also looks very beutiful inflight and specially the landing looks very real and great.PMDG will do the right i hope<---- Think.ThanksMarcello
