July 5, 200421 yr Commercial Member Captains-I would like ONLY those of you who own the 737NG 800/900 and are STILL experiencing issues with their Radio Stack freezing *AFTER* having installed the Interim Update to contact me privately - we're getting closer with the release of the 800/900 update, so I wanted to make absolutely sure we have nailed this issue 100%.Again- only those of you who STILL have this issue AFTER the interim update has been installed, please contact me privately. Due to the number of people who might contact me, I will not guarantee personal replies, but this way, I hope to get a significant number of individuals who can test this exact problem ONLY.(At this point, those of you still on dial-up need not reply - I might be sending a couple large updates, so please specify the speed of your Internet connection as well in your reply). In your emails, please include your order ID# (NOT your password) for verification purposes.Word of caution:If you're NOT experiencing this issue, please do NOT write me - I will not respond, and it will not be very pleasant for me to receive a large number of emails that have nothing to do with this particular request. The email to contact is:radios_test (at) precisionmanuals.com (replace the "at" with the @ sign). Thanks, Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com
July 8, 200421 yr Just wanted to add something I notice with the Radio Freeze problem. With the 800/900 I was getting the radio freeze problem whenever the battery dropped below a certain level. I am not sure what that level was, or why the battery was draining, but I always noticed that the battery was draining during the flight. I would see the battey voltage drop down below 16 volts about 30 mins into the flight. I when running off the main generators, both Buses were online, and there was no Battery Drain Indicator light on, to indicate that this problem existed. I then tried restarting the the APU inflight, which I know is unrealistic at an altitude above FL230, but when I did and recycled the APU bus, I notice the Battery begin to charge again, and once it reached around 23 volts, I switched back to the main buses for the duration of the flight. The battey level remained charged and I did not experiece the Radio Freezing. Sometimes I had to recycle the APU buses twice to get it to charge, but it seemed to work.Don't know if this help identify the problem, but I thought I would throw it out there.Best Regards,Robert Ross
