July 6, 200421 yr I moved my FS2004 to WinXP from Win98SE, without a reinstall. Basically Win98SE is better for gaming as you dont use much of the extra "desktopyness" of XP and its more minimal and uses less resources. However it only supports 512Mb of RAM and I had just upgraded to 1024.Jumping into the game, it all worked fine.... Except that the 737 AP was drunk. It attempted to land me 50 foot of the runway in the grass and when I hit TO/GA and set a heading for downwind all appeared normal, but... then it started making up headings on it's own. I checked and double checked modes and disengaged and reengaged, I even altered headings and everything, but yet it ignored me and flew where it pleased.I hit X4 speed and watched, to see what it would do. It flew in almost random patterns, but always seemed to eventually come back to cross the airfield. Some times it would do almost a figure of 8, others it would just fly in complete squigles. This is not a complaint, just a report.I re-installed the 737 and all works fine again.
