July 9, 200421 yr hi pmdg community - this is my first post so i'll take this opportunity to introduce myself.i'm Graham from the UK, (cheshire). Very happy with the PMDG 737 600/900. I bought the lot a few weeks ago and i'm a happy chappy.Anyway, the question i would like to ask.I fly using the FS ATC and i was just wondering if there was any software that can convert FS flightplans to the pmdg format.I bought FSBuld, which is a very good bit of software, but it doesnt seem to be able to convert FS flightplans to PMDG format very well. eg. A UK flightplan (.PLN) converted to .RTE went half way round the globe. Well off the mark you could say.So if anyone has any reccomendations i would be very gratefull!thanks for your time...Graham
July 9, 200421 yr I know PMDG has an export module for FSNavigator but not FSBuildNick B.Continental Airlines 737NG Pilothttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg--AMD Athlon XP 3200+ @ 2.2 Ghz400W Power supply3x 80 mm Case FansSoyo VIA KT600 Dragon PlusnVidia GeForce FX 5200 128 mb2 x 512 PC400100 GB Western DigitalMicrosoft Sidewinder Precision 2

FSBuild is capable of building a plan dircetly in *.rte format and no "conversion" is needed. I suggest you post details of your problem in the FSBuild forum - http://www.forumboard.net/1767/ - and I'm sure we'll get you sorted out.In the meantime, if you want some ready-made UK flight plans in PMDG *.rte format, download 73ngfpl1.zip from the library here at AVSIM or at flightsim.com.Pete
July 9, 200421 yr ok i'll try and put this simply. If possible, i would like a (.pln) file which has been created in FS, *converted* to a (.rte) file.FS Build has an option to do so, but it was flaky.I want to fly using the FS ATC, so i need to create a flightplan within FS, then hopefully find some software which can make a .rte file from this. I can then load the .rte file into the FMC and happily fly my route, with FS ATC and my PMDG in total harmony.graham

Simply export 'both' to .pln and .rte (ie check both menu items) and Fsbuild2 will export the same exact Flight Plan to both formats.Try it, you'll find it works fine.Regards.Ernie.
July 10, 200421 yr There, you've heard it from the man himself now. Don't create your plan in the FS planner but use FSBuild then output that plan simultaneously in both formats. If you do look at those pre-made plans I mentioned, you'll see that there are two identical versions in the zip file - one in *.rte for PMDG and the other in *.pln format specifically for use with for FS ATC, Radar Contact etc.If you still get problems, come and visit us on the FSBuild forum.Pete
July 10, 200421 yr i get it now!sorry for being a jelly head. thanks Pete and Ernie for the help.graham
