Problem with FMC...

Featured Replies

Hi all!Is there any possibility to enter a 4-letter waypoint/intersection into the FMC?I'm planning a route from Moscow (UUEE) to Tyumen (USTR) in Russia and therefore I need the two intersections "USSS" and "AR01". They are both in the current AIRAC(0407) - but when I try to enter them into the FMC I get the "invalid entry" error message.Any help welcome and thanks in advance!Greetz!Michahttp://www.krausemicha.de/uploads/franconian.gifMichael KrauseOnline-Pilot: FRV095 - "Franconian"Online-Controlling: EDDN, Munich-FIRVATSIM/SAG EDMM-Mentor

After trying around I found out that I can enter the 4-letter fixes if they are put in as a direct. But they can't be connected to the airways they belong to. In the navdata files everything looks correct and the waypoints are in the airways they should be in...Strange, but I have now a way around this...But you should have a look at this behavior...GreetzMichahttp://www.krausemicha.de/uploads/franconian.gifMichael KrauseOnline-Pilot: FRV095 - "Franconian"Online-Controlling: EDDN, Munich-FIRVATSIM/SAG EDMM-Mentor

MichaWhat was your procedure when trying to enter these waypoints with airwyas? And which airways waypoints did you try to connect?I've been entering fixes with more than 4 letters uncountable times without problems, with and without connecting to airways.Shouldn't be a problem here.

I tried it both ways - first the airway then the fix and the other way round. When I tried a different route later on the same problem came up.Airways and fixes involved on Route UUEE-URTS:MH.A122.USSS.A300.AR01Same problem with this part of the Route UNNT-ZBAA:FB.A91.UNWWWhen I enter the waypoint first it shows up but then I get the error when entering the airway on the left side...Thanks for the help!http://www.krausemicha.de/uploads/franconian.gifMichael KrauseOnline-Pilot: FRV095 - "Franconian"Online-Controlling: EDDN, Munich-FIRVATSIM/SAG EDMM-Mentor

MichaLooks like you've found something fishy. I've sent a report to the dev team and we'll see what they say about it.Try entering MF.A300.TALIK in the RTE page. This works fine. But in the LEGS page you will now miss all four letter waypoint along this route. ;-)Cheers,

Since I need the GIBUL-STAR I have to use directs... ;)Thanks for forwarding this issue to the dev team, hopefully they find an easy solution. For now I'll use the dirty dct way.Cheers!Michahttp://www.krausemicha.de/uploads/franconian.gifMichael KrauseOnline-Pilot: FRV095 - "Franconian"Online-Controlling: EDDN, Munich-FIRVATSIM/SAG EDMM-Mentor
