I would love to download the 800/900 upgrade but have a few questions:1. If I download this product in 30 days, will the download have ALL the recent updates that have just been specified in the above email from R.R.??2. Can I use DAP as a download accelerator and not have PMDG websites look upon it as a threat and kick me off of the connection?I did get an ...unofficial...answer to this one from another member but not from PMDG.3. I currently have 'GetRight' download accelerator software and Vince emailed me last month and said that 'download accelerators' were a threat to the PMDG servers and would not work.....Is that fact or will the DAP accelerator work...Thanks again & regards,Jack KGSPgremel

Can I make a point about download accelerators?I am a server admin and I hate them with a vengence. Here's why.If you make one connection to the server you get one set of server connection resources, thats fine. If your DL mananger makes 16 connections to the server you get 16 sets of resources.Each connection gets an input buffer and an output buffer of about 64K, these will be filled by the webserver, because it's sending faster than you can receive.Those 16 sets of connection resources waste resources that could be used by other people. Especially if you disconnect and then reconnect and resume when you lose you net connection. You then get another 16 connection resources sets. the server is still waiting on the other 16 for 5 or 10 minutes.You can bring a server to it's knees eventually. If you do it's called a unintentinal DoS (denial of service) attack, in that other valid users get errors or dont get connected because the server is too busy.Having said that, I dont think one DLM would cripple a good server on a good connection, but my point is that server admins hate them.

As far as the updates, I am not from PMDG but I do know that in the past they have immediately updated the files to allow you to get the correct version at the time of down load. That being said the package as it stands is in no way an incomplete package. I would highly recomend getting it now so that way you can fly it for 30 days and have 30 more days of TCAS and all the other goodies that you get. When they come out with service updates they are very easy to install and for me at least it takes just a matter of a few minutes to install it. Have fun get it now.
