July 20, 200421 yr Does one of the fuel pumps need to be on for APU operation? I believe I remember reading somewhere a long while back that one of fuel pumps from the number one tank should on when using the APU but I can't remember exactly. Thanks to anyone who can provide me with information on this subject.
July 20, 200421 yr In a nutshell,Fuel to start and operate the APU comes from the left side of the fuel manifold when the AC fuel pumpes are operating. If the AC fuel pumps are not operating, fuel is suction fed fron the No. 1 tank. During APU operations, fuel is automaticlly heated to prevent icing.Floyd John Floyd

July 20, 200421 yr Hi (your name here)!!It's not necessary to operate a fuel pump for operation of the APU, but it's highly recommand to switch "ON" the AFT MAIN 1 fuel pump you could also use the FWD MAIN 1 fuel pump, but the best pump to use is the AFT MAIN 1 fuel pump.Greeting Mark.
