July 21, 200421 yr Hello, I'm using the pmdg 800/900 and when engage the CWS mode if i press the keyboard to roll nathing happens, the question is the cws works using the keyboard instead of a joystick? or i'm wrong the way i use it? If a enage the CMD mode instead of the CWS, always appears in the display CWS P and CWS R activated, is it normal?thanks
July 21, 200421 yr Hello and welcome, you will need to use your real name to sign your posts as the forum rules state, thank you. As far as I am aware CWS does not work with the keyboard because I have tried it ;-). You can trigger CWS modes by appling pressure to the control colume (Joystick or yoke etc) for either pitch CSW P or roll CWS R but won't happen with keyboard..Best Wishes,
Randy J. July 22, 200421 yr There is no need to push anything, simply have the AP enaged and hold the joystick in either pitch or roll for a second and then look at the pilot's flight display (FMA) and you should see CWS in yellow. You can now manually control either pitch angle and roll. For roll anything under 5 degree will roll back level. To resume a pitch mode simply push either ALT HOLD/LVL CH/V/S and for roll HDG SEL. You can refer to the PMDG Docs for more detailed operations with CWS-Best Wishes,
Randy J. Smith

P M D G's 747-400

coming to a runway near you
Caution!
