Just when I thought I had it "down"

Featured Replies

Well I have been progressing rather well with PMDG and can program the FMC pretty well, hand fly the ILS etc, so I was thinking that I had this Sim pretty much under control. So what do I do, I buy some more payware. I wanted better looking weather so I bought Active Sky. Clouds that don't disappear when you climb above them weather radar in the Plane, winds aloft , really accurate weather in flight and at the terminal, etc. etc. Oh, I almost forgot, it also has a 40 page Owners Manual that I am going to have to read so I can learn how to "work" everything.. Here I go again :)

I would be interested how you integrated the weather radar into the PMDGNick B.Continental Airlines Virtual 737NG Pilothttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg--AMD Athlon XP 3200+ @ 2.2 Ghz (Equal to 2.8 ghz)400W Power supply3x 80 mm Case FansSoyo VIA KT600 Dragon PlusnVidia GeForce FX 5200 128 mb2 x 512 PC400100 GB Western DigitalMicrosoft Sidewinder Precision 2

Incidentally, it has been tested with PMDG 737.

It comes with ActiveSky 2004....something for the 'check captain' to keep an eye on, among the other checklists he's going over while you're flying. I sure got a laugh out of that in the other thread.

I really like this Active Sky program by the way. A feature that works really well with PMDG is the realistic turbulence which I could never get from FS9. It also doesn't give you that jumping around of the Altimeter reading ( and your assigned altitude deviation from ATC every few seconds) as the default "bad weather" FS9 did.
