August 23, 200421 yr Is there any way for me to reduce the idle speed while taxiing? I have the throttle all the way back and the aircraft still wants to gain speed while taxiing to the active or from the active to the gate area. I have to use the brakes a lot to slow the building speed. thanks,Eric TSt Augustine, FL
August 23, 200421 yr Not sure right now, Im not able to check it but once I get back on the flight deck tonight, I will check. Is there a way to reduce the idle speed via the FMC/FMS?
August 23, 200421 yr In real life, the A/C gives a bit of thrust and then IDLE again when taxiing to or from the active RWY, thats very realistic behavior of PMDGs aircraft.
August 23, 200421 yr It could be that his throttle is not calibrated correctly, and that it yields above 21% N1. If that's the case, it sure can make things complicated while taxiing. All in all, make sure that your N1 is BELOW 21% when your throttle is in idle position.
