PMDG Aircraft Load Manager

Featured Replies

Can you tell me if the aircraft load manager for the PMDG 737NG updates the weights in the aircraft.cfg file, or is it primarily a cosmetic exercise(surely not on THIS aircraft :-))? My question is prompted by reading about Scott Campbell's program, ACLoader, which cannot work with the PMDG 737NG because, according to Scott, the program "moves the payload to 0,0,0 and there is nothing I can do about it."BR,Frank

The PMDG load manager does update the aircaft.cfg! Would be worthless if it didn't... (there's nothing cosmetic about adding passengers and so on...). I thinks ACLOader just isn't compatible with the PMDG 737 and that Scoot means that HIS program moves the payload to 0,0,0. Anyway, the load manager works and it works great!

Frank-as Jeroen pointed out, PMDG cannot be expected to be aware of, or facilitate all the external utility programs out there which manipulate data. Our aicraft load manager has been designed SPECIFICALLY for our product, so I am not sure why you'd want to resort to another external application to do that.As for the quotes you mentioned - I am unsure if Mr. Campbell has knowledge of what our aicraft load manager does, but it certainly does NOT move any payloads to 0,0,0 as he is quoted to claim.Regards,

Nor do I, Lefteris. Nor was I contemplating purchase when I checked out AC Loader. As I said, it just prompted a question which I could not answer(being away from my computer). Thanks to you and Jeroen for confirming what I already suspected.BR,Frank

Thanks, Jeroen.By the way, off this topic, but a word of thanks also for starting the thread on the Normal Procedures checklist with explanations! It's a great idea, and I hope you will continue to publish the checklist as more explanatory comments are received. I would very much like to see a version where every action receives some commentary, even if some remarks might seem obvious to the more experienced flight simmers.BR,Frank
