intermittent static in the speakers

Featured Replies

I have intermittent static in the speakers while flying 737 series. Comes and goes. Still have background engine sounds etc., just overlayed with crackly static. Sometimes on and off for just a few minutes and sometimes whole flight. Quite sure it is not speakers, loose connection, or other hardware problem as it is only with PMPG 737, not B1900D ect. never had it with any other program.Has anyone else had this problem? I can get it to happen regularly on second and subsequent climbout after touch and go's. but lots of other seemingly random situations also. Very strange.

Hi,Sounds like the Sound Blaster Live driver problem. Do you have the mentioned card, and if so, try to update to the latest drivers?Hope it helps,

Mats,I'm running a Dell Poweredge 400SC Server upgraded to 3.2Gh, 1Mb main memory, Radion 9600 XL 256Mb, Adaptec hardware raid w/ 2 7200 rpm 120Gb Serial ATA drives. The MOBO has Analog Devices,Inc. SoundMax integrated digital audio built in and I verified with Dell that the drivers are current.Any other ideas? Thanks,

Ok,Maybe the famous DirectX sound acceleration can help you then. In DXDiag set your sound acceleration to one notch to the left of max acceleration.Hope this one helps then, ;-)
