August 30, 200421 yr Hi,I have a problem with the FMC of the 737...I have the current AIRAC Navdata, and I unzipped all the little .txt documents from the PMDG website into the SIDSTARS folder as told. However, when I open the FMC, put in a departure and arrival airport, press Route, Dep to try to choose a SID, there are none there. Also, whenever I put in an airport (any airport) it always says "err at fix line ###" What's going on? Thanks.
August 30, 200421 yr Hello Ms. namelessYou are having a procedure file that is corrupt in one way or another. As this has been descrivbed a lot of times before I would suggest you do an advanced search using the error code or something and I'm sure you'll get a couple of hits.Hope it helps, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
August 30, 200421 yr Hi "What's your name">whenever I put in an airport (any airport)>it always says "err at fix line ###" What's going on? Thanks.Although it is unusual to have this error message show up for all airports it is indicative of SIDs/STARs that are in the 03XX cycle range. Unfortunately this is what is shipped with the 737ng. Delete all the files in the /PMDG/SidStars folder and try unzipping that 0408 cycle you downloaded back into that /PMDG/SidStars folder again. Verify that the files are 0408 by opening up any file and looking at the header. Then go to the /FMCWP/NavData folder and verify you have cycle 0408 there. Look in the fmc_ident.TXT file and it will tell you what cycle it is. Having different cycles between the two sometimes causes problems also.RegardsTerry
