Well, this isn't related to PMDG, but is rather due to MS design. If you can get hold of an add-on scenery that would probably exclude it. Or you can eventually make your own....I suggest a jump over to the scenery design forum and search for some solutions there, and also make a post there. There are also a few freeware scenery design program available for download.BTW, I didn't see this at VRMM..
