September 6, 200421 yr A bit embarassed to have to ask this(:-(), but which PMDG folder do I unzip the AIRAC to? Only ones I can see are SIDSTARS(Terry Yingling's, that is), FLIGHTPLANS, 737TNG, and Icons. Also, are Terry's SIDS & STARs a supplement to the AIRAC data? Thanks very much,Frank
September 6, 200421 yr Frank,If you are installing the NAVDATA AIRAC from www.navdata.at. You should point the installer to your FS9 root folder! Usually this is C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9. I think this is mentioned in the installer instructions as well. ;-)Hope it helps, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
September 7, 200421 yr Hi there Frank>Also, are Terry's SIDS & STARs a supplement to the AIRAC>data? No, they are two separate things. The AIRAC is all of the airport, navaid (VORs, Fixes, NDBs, etc) and airways data. The SIDs/STARs (procedures) are just that, SIDs and STARs plus IAPs which are predetermined routes the plane flys using those navaids when leaving or approaching an airport. All you have to do is just make sure that both the AIRAC and the procedures are of the same cycle or you can run into problems caused by any navaid changes.RegardsTerry
September 7, 200421 yr Thanks, Terry! So, the SIDs & STARS are in the correct folder, then(SIDSTARS), in the PMDG directory?BR,Frank
September 7, 200421 yr >So, the SIDs & STARS are in the correct folder,>then(SIDSTARS), in the PMDG directory? That's correct Frank.Terry
September 7, 200421 yr I suppose it would help a lot of users, new or old, if there was an installation readme with each aircraft download as there are big differences between pmdg, pss, aerosoft and dreamfleet.
