737-600/700 & FS2002

Featured Replies

HiFirst of all, congratulations to PMDG for excellent products. Excellent job done, well done!!I run PMDG 737NG on a Win2000 FS2002 platform. I have seen and read all the comments regarding the 737NG and have tried all the suggestions, but to no avail:1. I can't operate the stairs on the defauls liveries (PMDG 737-700 with winglets & stairs), and can't assign the F9 and F10 keys to the concord visor, as in FS2002 this is also the key assignment for the flaps up/down. How else would I be able to operate the stairs in FS2002?2. I understand that the TCAS does not function in the 737NG 600/700 series, what a pity, as this would have been a great add-on. I do not have FS2004 and would therefor not be able to see traffic on TCAS. Have PMDG ever concidered adding the TCAS function to the 737NG? I have saved quite a long time to purchase this product, but it appears I am forced to buy FS2004 and the 737-800/900 series before I will be able to use this TCAS function, which I am not able to afford at this point in time. I think all other 737NG operators out there will agree that their product seem incomplete without the TCAS function. Does PMDG foresee upgrade patches for the 737NG's TCAS problem, or should one rather concider upgrading to the PSS A320 PRO series, which is far less afordable than the upgrade in PMDG? I see the PSS aircraft does have full functionality on almost all systems, inlcuding the TCAS, which is a great tool (toy) for flightsimmers like myself.3. Since I installed PMDG 737NG all my FS-traffic dissapeared. Although all my setting in FS is set to see AI-traffic, there is no aircraft visible in FS2002 anymore. Not on the ground nor in the air. When I'm at LAX, it appear like a deserted airport, with no other traffic at the terminals or flying. When I select ATC I'm the only aircraft flying, not other traffic whatsoever. Is there a remedy for this problem, as I would love to be in line for departure instead of being the only aircraft in FS. Any possible help would be appreciated. Thanks for everybody out there with regular feedback and advice, we all appreciate this, as your efforts make flightimming a great adventure.BushPilot

BushPilot,A friendly reminder to sign your posts with your name so we know who we're communicating with ;-)For the airstairs you can assign any key combo that works best for you. Use the key assignmnet menu option under PMDG menus.TCAS for the 600/700 is available with the upgrade to the 800/990.The PMDG 737NG does not affect your AI so you have another issue. Do you see traffic if you select any other aircraft? Try starting up with the default Cessna then once at your airport switch to the 737NG. Do you see traffic now? You may need to rebuild your FS9 config file. If you do and need help we'll be more than happy to point you in the right direction.
