September 24, 200421 yr Please help - I've bought and installed the 800/900 PMDG upgrade which all went smoothly, but after restarts and going for my first flight in an 800 upon inputting data into the fmc i suddenly found that on its' numeric keypad I couln't get 0 and all other number keys on the pad were misaligned in that upon pressing zero I get an eight (8) five becomes two (2) and so on - has anyone else had this problem or do you know of a solution. I would rather not have to uninstall and reinstall if at all possible.CheersRickp.s. how do I enable TCAS / get the virtual cockpit view (haven't got active camera as i didn't want to have to pay for that as well for fs2004).
September 24, 200421 yr Rick,Concerning your installation problem, sounds like the installation didn't go well. You may have to de-install using the PMDG remove tool and then try installing again. Since this is the first response, let's see if others have further suggestions. One question comes to mind, what resolution are your running FS in?Concerning TCAS, lots of posts on this so if you need further information do a quick search on "TCAS". Also, you can check the documentation installed with the 800/900: 09_AFDS_SYSTEM_737_678900_V14.pdfSection 9 - 16 AUTOMATIC FLIGHT MANAGEMENT SYSTEMSTCAS II Version 7You can also see the following tutorial for further information including how to use on-line:http://www.precisionmanuals.com/downloads/...le=419&iType=19Quick (no explanation version) instructions to enable the TCAS:1) In the PMDG Styles menu, for TCAS mode make sure the FS Internal option is checked2) Enable TCAS by turning the Transponder switch on the radio panel all the way to the right to the George Morris
September 24, 200421 yr Thanks mate good advice - I'll hold off on the uninstall for a couple of hours JUST in case there's an alternative. Thanks againRick
September 24, 200421 yr >p.s. how do I get the virtual cockpit view>(haven't got active camera as i didn't want to have to pay for>that as well for fs2004).In the Airplane selection menu, when you have chosen Boeing-PMDG, you are presented with various version. Each airplane has 3 versions:-normal-virtual cockpit-vc + cabin (for active camera owners)It's sufficient you select the virtual cockpit model, and when the aircraft and situation is loaded, press "S".You'll be in the virtual cockpit, you can look around with your joystick's POV or standard lookaround keys.
September 24, 200421 yr Thx Claudio nice catch. I read to much into his post and thought he was looking for cabin views (hence active camera). Active camera is only needed to view the vitural cabin! 'S' will get you to the vitural cockpit. George Morris
September 25, 200421 yr thanks boys - have gone the reinstall route but haven't reloaded it yet. Whilst I was at it I've created another partition and moved fs9 onto that partition exclusively which I hope will improve frame rates (read that somewhere on pmdg website but can't remember where).I'll let you know how i get on.Rick
