September 29, 200421 yr Does anyone find the movement of the bank angle indicator on the PFD counter-intuitive? When the plane banks right, the BAI goes left, and vice versa. I presume there is a good reason for this implementation?(Note: Bill Bulfer has seen fit to comment on it(Pitch 'n' Power page in the 737 Profiles), so I guess it can be problematic).BR,Frank
September 29, 200421 yr Yeah Frank,Actually it has happened to me on a couple of occasions that I get confused. Sometimes it's like the brain refuses to believe and I realy have to sit down and try to persuade it... LOL Unless I have a visual horizon of course. Then it's easier...Didn't know it was a real world problem though Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
September 29, 200421 yr I think the point is to provide a visual refence to "up". It shows which direction a pilot has to roll the plane in case he/she becomes disoriented and needs to get wings level.Just a thought.
