September 30, 200421 yr Hello,I have just bought the PMDG 800/900 package and I tried to install the upgrade for the 800/900 version and I it did NOT work. The SW is asking me to install the Base Pack (600/700) first. Due to the fact that I have all my FS9 stuff on a seperate Drive (D:) I think the upgrade does not recognize it, that the base pack is already installed.HOW can I install the 800/900 upgrade on Drive D: ???Thanks for helping me out here.Cheers,Christian
September 30, 200421 yr Christian,I may not be of much help to you but I also (as, I think, a lot of people) have FS on a separate drive. You are experiencing some other problem. Possibly the registry entries for FS9 has been corrupt. THat has been seen to happen,I would suggest you mail [email protected] for some helpHope it helps, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
September 30, 200421 yr Hello Mats, thanks for the input....How can I fix the FS9 registry? Do I need to reinstall the full blown FS9 (which means all the add-ons etc.) or is there an easier way. Thanks for letting me know.Cheers,Christian
September 30, 200421 yr Well..You can do what I do. If you feel comfortable with the file system in Windoze. - Rename your current FS9 folder to something else than default. - Install FS9. - Delete the FS9 folder just installed.- Rename your old FS9 folder to the default name again. You might want to save your FS9.cfg and some other stuff but that's no biggie.Good luck, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
