October 5, 200421 yr I'm very happy with the PMDG 737, I've flown it a lot in the past four months and I think that is at the moment the most impressive fs9 add-on.I just wonder if is there any chance to complete the overhead panel with the rearmost section (the one with the IRS...OK, I know that this could be implemented..., the flaps/slats test lights, the crew oxygen gauge and so on). A nice picture that depicts the whole complete overhead panel could be this one:http://www.airliners.net/open.file/501338/L/Just a question, it would complete (with some more "emergency" situations) nicely this otherwise perfect product.
October 5, 200421 yr Enrico,I don't believe we will be seeing much more development on the NG anytime soon. PMDG has stated a few times now that they are focused on the 747-400 (and MD-11). Robert has made some hints that the NG may be enhanced in the future, but nothing firm has been announced.Concerning the IRS:"the one with the IRS...OK, I know that this could be implemented..."This subject has really been hashed and rehashed many many times (to many). :-roll Do a search if you want the gory details, but bottom line is that PMDG will do an IRS when they feel they can realistically model it. I believe the IRS is on the feature wish list for the 747-400, but nothing has been confirmed. George Morris
October 5, 200421 yr CIVA INS is somewhat similar, except it's a full nav system as opposed to just a inertial reference in case the GPS and Ground aid recievers go dead in the burmuda triangle or somewhat. At least thats what I think is the case.As was discussed in here about the IRS there is little point as the GPS will always receive and the ground aids are always on.
October 6, 200421 yr Hi george, yes, I read the long threads regarding IRS, it really isn't so much important, was just for completeness of the panel.I thought that PMDG is very very very focused on the new products and that is good. Was just a question. Thanks for your answer.
