Before loading the FS9 Patch

Featured Replies

For your own information, prior to loading the patch onto your system I would suggest reading the Microsoft Flight Sim Discussion Forum on this web site. You will see quite a few posts with problems after the patch was installed. The issues are also discussed on the newsgroup alt.games.microsoft.flight-sim1. If you are currently using the no CD patch to avoid running your CD drive constantly, while using FS9, you will have to go back to using the CD. 2. Some add- on sceneries are having problems after the patch is installed.3. Some people had to completely reinstall FS9. These are a few of the issues mentioned since last evening. I have read some posts on this forum that seem to give one the impression that you can put the patch on your system with no chance of a problem. It would appear that this is inaccurate. It also appears that very little if any frame rate is noted after the patch. So the big advantage to most people are the added bridges.

I was very careful to say that it worked fine for me... it may not for you.Anyway, I have tested it now with several stock and addon planes and I am having no trouble... your experience my not be the same as mine.P.S.Bob, my post is not ment as a challenge or anything. Your message of concern is well founded and appreciated. Thank you!
