Not able to arm autothrottle

Featured Replies

Guys,Maybe I am just ignorant but I can not arm the autothrottle switch (737-800/900). I know that the yam damper should be on so I checked the overhead panel(attachment). I can not swith the yaw damper to on. After a few seconds it flips back to the off position.Any thoughts?

Any thoughts? Yeah you bet! You have some serious reading up to do! ;-)A lot of warnings and caution lights on that overhead. I would not take off with that configuration. :-)(158) You might want to get your engine generators online i.e. no blue lights on the overhead. Then try to engage the A/T.Hope it helps,

The overhead doesn't appear right.Have you done the cold&dark startup checklist? The electricals need some work I think as the other guy said.Press F10 and work through the checklist.Autothrottle should be armed after the line as you are lining up.Before then you should have done 9 checklists to the configuration correct to allow autothrottle arm.Somewhere you can find the 'Quick Reference Checklist for PMDG 737 NG'. Try a bit of Googling and see what you can turn up.Good Luck!
