October 10, 200421 yr I am wondering how on earth you use multi monitor? I have a 9800 pro. I use "extend my windows desktop onto this monitor" meaning my second monitor. I click that check under the PMDG setting to use multiple monitors but how to you get your overhead panel to appear on the second monitor? you can't just slide it over there can you. at least it doesn't work for me.thanks,Jack
October 10, 200421 yr JackFirst run in FS in windowed mode. Second set the PMDG Styles option for multi-monitor use.Third open up the overhead panel.Fourth right klick on the overhead panel and undock it.Fifth move the panel as you move regular Windows windows.Item 3-5 can be done with any panel you like to reside on the second monitor.Now. If your card/driver combo can support it. You should be able to go into full screen mode again in FS. But if not. Run in windowed mode.Hope it helps, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
October 10, 200421 yr Maybe just one more quick Q Mats. Everything works except when can't get my second monitor to refresh at anything greater than 60Hz so the display on monitor #2 is very blurry. I tried changing it through the control/display panel but it won't let me change it. is this a limitation ?Jack
October 10, 200421 yr Jack,No, running the second monitor on 60Hz shouldn't be a limitation. I run both mine on 85Hz without problems. Sounds like a driver issues if you ask me.Hope it helps, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
October 10, 200421 yr OK i got it to refresh at 100Hz BUT for some reason that second monitor is burry compared to monitor 1. any ideas
October 10, 200421 yr Jack,Maybe your monitor is that blurry? Try to shift monitors to rule out the monitor. Other than that... Don't have a clue. Should be the same picture quality from the card. Now I have a nVidia card. I don't know if that will make a difference. And I have two monitors of the same type connected.Hope it helps, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
October 10, 200421 yr Hi guys,In my case with two video cards, I have to set the resolution for both screens separately in FS9, in the "Display" menu. The second monitor will default to something like 640 x 480 I believe, if you don't actually set it to something else. Maybe that's the case here?Leo Bakker
October 10, 200421 yr Good call Leo!That's true! Josh, you have to set your "other" monitor in FS9 as well. In Options Settings Display Hardware you have a listbox where your card, if you have two monitors installed, will be shown as two i.e nVidia FX5600 Ultra.0 and nVidia FX5600 Ultra.1. You have to set both to your liking!Hope it helps, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
