PMDG Techies !

Hello. I am waiting for the 747 , I don't really like the 737's much (I just know I'm going to get a bashing for the 737 comment .) and I was wondering if the PMDG planes have SIDS / STARS in their FMC's for these planes like the PSS ones do. (and NO, this is not to put one manufacturer against another, just a question.)thanksSteve.PS the reason why I ask is because I have heard that they use the DAFIF database, and that this database has problems / lack of information for the SIDS / STARS. depending on the replies I get will determine why I ask this.thanks for any feed back Steve

Hi Steve,Yes the PMDG 737NGs come with SIDs and STARs stored in the FMC like PSS.As for DAFIF database business I can't say I've noticed anything different in the quantity of SID STAR information stored within my PSS and my PMDG FMCs. So no worries there as far as I'm concerned, maybe other people have had different experiences.>>I don't really like the 737's much (I just know I'm going to get a>>bashing for the 737 comment .) Let the bashing commence... :-hang Well to be honest I never gave the 737 much thought when compared to bigger aircraft like the 747/777 and also Concorde but after spending time with this product it grew on me and I've started to take a liking to it.Kind regards,

Yes it uses the DAFIF for procedures. Procedures can be created by users and are for whatever is missing, so this is really no issue at all. How the 744 will be developed is still unknown since the beta testers have not had the chance to see what is going to be used compared to the 737 series.Best Wishes,[h4]Randy J. >(I just know I'm going to get a bashing for the 737 comment .)Certainly not from me, Steve! You're entitled to your preferences. I, on the other hand, am not a big fan of the 747(oops!), and haven't much patience with Concorde, either(sacrilege! Sacre bleu!). On the other hand, I LOVE 737s :-).BR,FrankPS. Next aircraft purchase will probably be PIC767v2.
