October 21, 200421 yr How do I change my destination when mid flight - is this possible -where do I look for info please?
October 21, 200421 yr Please sign your name to your posts. You cannot with the FMC that is. Alternate airports are not modelled...Best Wishes,[h4]Randy J. October 22, 200421 yr Hi,You change the DEST midlfight by going to the RTE page and entering the new DEST there. After that build the route etc and all should be well. Same as it is done IRL :)ATB,
October 23, 200421 yr What do you enter in the route? Just the airport (KLAX) or do you enter the runway as well? I have only ever entered VORs, Intersections etc.. in the route area.
October 23, 200421 yr Adam, pls sign your posts from here on iaw Forum Rules mate.In case of a diversion you will enter the new destination and then create the route as appropriate using either the RTE or LEGS page and then DEP/ARR if you already know what runway you will land on. Normally just change the DEST in the RTE page LSR1 and then build the route of flight to get there in LEGS, unless you have the airways charts and know how to use RTE page 2 to enter Airway numbers and WP's along them.Hope this helps,
October 23, 200421 yr You must have a flight vector airways route info and also make sure all the name such, intersection,VOR and other navigation aid already program/available inside your FMC(otherwise you get error message), unless you "pause" your flight and go to the flight planning.Regards,Shaheedan Bin Abdul WahabOil Town(Miri),Malaysia
October 23, 200421 yr Hi Shaheedan,I think what you are inferring is that you must have the correct (latest) AIRAC database installed. It is at http://www.navdata.at/The Database is a list of all the worlds waypoints, NAVAIDS, airways and airports contaimned in the FMC and is all you need. I suggest avoiding the use of add-on flight planning software as we don't use them IRL, just the Airways Charts and Jepps Plates. This sim flies just like the real thing.ATB,
October 23, 200421 yr Hi Zapper,Yes, what you said is tru, just imagine during flying, without temporary pause your flight and suddently you need to change your route, offcourse you need a sheet of victor airways route info, other wise you not in the picture which direction for your new route.(that is my practist)regards,Shaheedan Bin Abdul WahabOil Town(Miri)Malaysia
