I cannot engage VNAV or LNAV on the autopilot. Is this only available if the FMC is programmed for the flight?ThanksDave Needham

You can use LVL CH or V/S for pitch and HDG SEL for roll without the FMC programed. You can even try out CWS for both pitch and roll...Best Wishes,[h4]Randy J.
