November 4, 200421 yr I was curious, would it be possible for PMDG to release the full manual for their 744 in advance, (a downloadable copy) so that potential buyers may become aquainted with the aircraft.I myself believe that it would be great to get the aircraft when it comes out and already know everything about it -- making it easy for me to make a flight straight awayJust a thought...____Alex
November 4, 200421 yr I don't believe that will happen. Things change throughtout the beta process, one can never tell what will be changed-implemeted-corrected during this time. This is just one faucet of items that efect the reason why you will not see it IMO.Randy Smith Randy J Smith
November 4, 200421 yr A suggestion to Robert & Co regarding manuals:How about selling a nice leather or hard-bound flight manual for the new 74 and all your other aircraft? It wouldn't cost us much more than what we already seem to spend on pesonal printing costs and would be a nice addition to the family.
November 9, 200421 yr Well if there ever decide to do the 777, I have a Continental Airlines 777 Manual on my hard drive in Acrobat Format ready to be printed... the only deal is its a 28.85MB file and over 1193 pages. Everything, including performance charts, checklists, the whole deal. Actually I havent evem been able to go through it all and can't imagine what it would look like if I did print it out.Regards,Dan AntosMD11 Beta Tester
November 9, 200421 yr Humm I have a UAL manual (s) for the 777 too but since UAL does not make them availible in PDF they are very big binders. You never know what PMDG have comming after the MD 11 and 747 but a 777 seems to be a popular aircraft along with the 757..Best Wishes,[h4]Randy J. November 9, 200421 yr I've got the 747-438 and the 767 338 manuals from QANTAS inc the ops manual, flight sim training manuals, P/L's and Flight Crew Training guides.... i've got a bookshelf full of em... Trust me, they look pretty... I'm sure the notion would be a seller.
November 9, 200421 yr How does one acquire such manuals? Is it always by "knowing somebody who knows somebody"? :-). I notice that some manuals seem to be available in electronic format.BR,Frank
November 9, 200421 yr I also downloaded the 757/767 CBT course.... The internet has everything my friends.
November 10, 200421 yr What a sensational idea! Imagine finally getting the plane, and knowing what to do straight-away.I'm looking forward to this finally happening, and then having a 747 I can't fly for three weeks until I get through the manual.Looks like it's not going to happen, but still a good call.Tim
