November 25, 200421 yr It's there to make sure you're paying attention.Just kidding ;)It's really your altitude arc (what I call it). It displays the area where the NG will level off during a climb or descent. - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired
November 25, 200421 yr Octavio,This was answered recently here in the forum :-) but here it is again, I am quoting an explanation by Brad Marsh (Zapper):"Known in the trade as the 'Green Banana'.It shows exactly how far along track you will hit the selected MCP ALT at the current INSTANTANEOUS vertical speed. If you wish to meet an ATC restriction I reccomend entering into the FMC LEGS and let VNAV do th work for you... that way teh DES page shows you your progress towards meeting the restriction."Best RegardsMax (Bern, LSZB)http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004betateam.jpg http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg
