December 3, 200421 yr I've noticed that the time taken from opening the engine start valve, flipping the fuel cutoff switch, to the engine reaching ground idle speed in all of my FS aircraft is very short indeed. Real aircraft take much longer to get the engines up and running. Is this problem inherent to MS Flight Simulator or is there anything PMDG can do to program in a more realistic (longer) spool up time?
December 3, 200421 yr Well of course you would have to provide more than an assumption that PMDG's NG has a way off starting sequence. Look at the other thread where one guy wants it faster! Now I am sure it is fine but it is also true I hae not has a chance to put a stop watch to it ;DBest Wishes,[h4]Randy J. December 3, 200421 yr I will of course time it in a few weeks when I take my next real world 737-700 flight (easyjet), but I am pretty certain that it takes almost twice as long for the engine to get up to ground idle speed in real life. I am not suggesting that this is purely a PMDG problem, like I said before, every aircraft I have for FS9 is the same. This is what lead me to believe that its the limitations of MSFS that cause this.
