PMDG B737-600 /700

Featured Replies

I have been flying the superb PMDG B737 - 600 / 700 for some time. But I seem to have two slight problems which I am strugglying to resolve.Firstly I have a Creative Soundblaster Live 5.1 (with the latest drivers! checked today)and I still have this screeching sound referred to in earlier posts. I normally leave FS for about 20 minutes and the screetching stops!. Can anyone help me solve this annoying problem which distracts from the superb PMDG A/C?Secondly, when I taxi all FS aircraft they taxi fine, but for some reason the PMDG B737 sways from left to right. I have the latest version 1.3, has anyone any idea's of how I can correct this problem, many thanks.Best Wishes and Kind regards,ChrisEGBB

Maybe the memory for the sound is getting all used up and needing to recycle. I don't know your system specs. Try turning down the sound quality in FS9 to medium or messing with the sound settings in the Direct X configuration manager. Sounds like a memory resource problem to me.What do you mean sways left to right? Only the PMDG 737 does this?

Chris many thanks for your kind reply. I never thought of reducing the directx memory for the sound, so hopefully this will resolve the problem. I have reduced the sound settings in FS9 and it has made no difference unfortunately.Regarding the swaying the PMDG just seems to sway from left to right regardless of speed. I thought it was CH driver issue, but all other A/C are fine. If I try to taxi in a straight line, it veers off to the right, which I try to compensate then it veers to the left. Many thanks.Best Wishes,Chris

I had a similar problem where the aircraft would make intermittent jolts to the left. I recalibrated my joystick and dampened the rudder response a little. So far so good.

I don't know why only the 737 would sway left and right. Whenever I have problems I recalibrate the CH yoke and/or pedals. I've noticed that sometimes the pedals have a slow response and stick, so I have to spray compressed air underneath the pedals where the moving parts are and it fixes the problem. Strange I know.

Thanks Guys for the sugestions, still plenty of screetching !I have a Soundblaster Live card all with the latest drivers. I have reduced sound quality to low in FS9 and in Directx 9. But the screetch goes on.All my other aircraft are fine. Even PMDG in FS2002 has no sound issues.Best Wishes,Chris
