Wiper and panel lights

Featured Replies

I've done what I thought was a decent job of RTFM and searchingthe forums.... I have the 737NG+700/900 package, purchase 29 Oct 04.How do I activate the wipers? Activating the switch does not seem totrigger any activity no matter what view I am in. The plane is recieving power - have tried ground, apu, and main engine in casethat mattered. There was weather appropriate for the situationgoing on as well. Also any clues about activating panel lights sans dome lightswould be appreciated.--Gregg SchoenbergerP4 3.06 GHz, 1.5 GB RAM, ATI Radeon 9700 Pro, TB SoundblasterXP/SP2 patched, FS9.1

I don't think you can see wipers from the cockpit, instead you can see them from the outside view (looking in to the aircraft). You use the wiper switch on the panel to start them.dave

I'm pretty sure they always show in the outside view and should also in the VC panel. They won't show from 2D panels.

Well, after a spell of appropiate weather - I can confirmthat spot and VC views do show the wipers in action. Thanksto all for the hints.WRT to the my original posting. Any ideas about turningon the panel lights sans dome light?GreggS

Dome light also only works in VC. I believe it was an MS limitation, however, the panel lights are all that work in 2D mode at night.
