December 12, 200421 yr Cheers, got the stairs ok now, but one more thing; is there a 'knack' to selecting exits? I was just using the 737-700NG, and opened the main exit, and also managed to open the very rear exit using the shift+e then pressing 1, but whenever I do it now it only operates the main exit for some reason. Could someone post a simple but detailed way of selecting and then opening an exit, i.e. 1) Hold ####+e down together, 2) Let go of 'e' Or something to that effect, so I know I am getting the processes right. Thanks! Jack.
December 14, 200421 yr Hi Jack,Do yourself a favor and get Thomas Scholz' pmdg_cargo_door.zip from the AVSIM library and install. This will put a switch on your overhead panel which operates the rear and cargo doors. Works flawlessly every time!BR,Frank
December 14, 200421 yr I knew you would respond to this thread, Frank.:-lol Looks like you like my gauge...:-) CheersThomas
December 14, 200421 yr Sure do, Thomas. :-)Thing is, opening the doors seems to cause a great deal of hassle for some people and your gauge is a simple(when it's all programmed for me, that is :-)) and efficient solution to working the rear and cargo doors. Also, let me confess that I like having a button to push, rather than just a key combo.BR,Frank PS Now if I could just find a way to opening the cockpit side windows...hmmm... Anyone? :-)
December 14, 200421 yr Jack, FYI if you have the -800/900 upgrade you can map the DOOR OPEN/CLOSE function to a single key, under the PMDG,GENERAL,KEYBOARD ASSIGNMENT. One key for forward pax, and another for rear pax and cargo doors.Refer ro the manual, "TITLE AND MENUS" http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/checkcapt.jpg
