TA alert

Featured Replies

Is there anything I can do to get my yellow TA alertbox back. I'm not quite sure when or why it left me, it's no big deal to fly without it, because the knob to change the setting works ok. I just don't like when unexplainable things happen. I hope someone maybe know what to do.Ole

Is your transponder on RA/TA?Did you press TFC on the EFIS panel?Did you select that option in the PMDG styles menu that hides all traffic unless it is a conflict? (I forget the name/location and I can't figure it out an the moment)Is there traffic close by?

Thanks for the answer, but I think you misunderstood my question, I meant transition altitude box (barometric) which should get yellow when passing 18000, it has for some time not been working.Ole

Ah, TA threw me off. What did you set your Transition Altitude to in your FMC?

Hi Again Fred C.As far as I know the FMC is set default to 18000 and should alert me with a yellow box, but it never does. I will however try now to set the T/A altitude in the FMC to see if it makes any differance.Ole

Is this in the EFIS/MAP mode? I've never seen the yellow alert in the new PFD/ND panel. I think it's only in the EFIS mode.
