January 1, 200521 yr I was flying CRZ ALT. But,soon they occurred error:CHECK/RESET MCP ALT. So,I checked MCP(Glareshield but it's correct. Of course,I set Flight Altitude on Cabin Press Panel but I didn't set Landing Altitude. What is this error? Is this a cause? Thanks.
January 1, 200521 yr Commercial Member Sir, Madam, you have to sign your name in this forum.MCP altitude has nothing to do with pressurisation. The message means that the FMC has reached the point where it wants to start descending on its calculated flight path. If you think the message displays to early in flight then you'd have to check the altitude constraints along your route.Regards,Markus Markus Burkhard
January 2, 200521 yr When flying under VNAV, as you approach TOD (Top Of Descent), the FMC warns you to check that the Altitude dialled in is correct(the next altitude restriction or MDA for example). If not, VNAV will not commence the descent until you do so. So if you want to descend at TOD, make sure the Altitude you have dialled in is lower than your current cruise altitude!Happy New Year
January 3, 200521 yr Thanks to your reply. But,in my case,ND shows T/C instead T/D.I'm awareing it now. Sorry I have mistake.
