July 14, 200223 yr The 2D cockpit does not have gauge backlighting. Many of the gauges were from the FSD archives, and did not have that capability programmed into them. I wanted the collar and cuffs to match, so the new gauges were programmed the same way. The 2D panel uses the default FS 2002 lighting scheme. I prefer backlighted gauges myself as well, and all the other gauge projects, where I build all the gauges myself from scratch, utilize this feature. July 14, 200223 yr Tim There is something going on with this A/C at least it's interaction with my system. Not sure but it has caused some weird problems. I wont discuss my individual problems unless asked and only because it opens the door to finger pointing. My question is this: Was there anything with the programming that may have been experimental to some degree? Are there any system dll's that may have been used that would interact with the graphics engine other than what is normally applied? The biggest problem at this point are crashes within FS. I had checkpointed my system as I always do prior to installing an add-on that uses an executable for the install process. When I began to have problems, I rolled the system back prior to the install. At that point all is well. Went through the install and the problems were introduced. I know of a few people having problems but not sure on the masses. RegardsBobG
