737NG Throttle Quad Lighting U/S

Featured Replies

Hi,I'm unable to see the upper part of the Throttle Quadrant, in particular, the speed-brake lever. It requires arming prior to landing and in the dark cockpit I can't see it. Is there a switch somewhere on the O/H panel that I'm missing? Thanks, in advance...Ron - CYEG

Hello Ron, Short story - The night lighting was changed in part due to the number of users who were not pleased with the flood night lamp in the original release of the 600-700 so it was changed. This of course raises it's own issues with certain users who have their monitors or windows settings too dark, so maybe adjusting the brightness or contrast will help you to see the throttle quadrant better. Here is the throttle with lighting on at night on my laptop. As you can see it is clearly visible. On my desktop I have to boost my brightness up since it is much darker than my notebook's screenhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/103249.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/103250.jpg[h4]Randy J. I'll try changing my contrast and see if that helps. Remarkably, I use to be able to see the tip of the speed-brake arm handle, but not now. Could be inadvertant changes on my part. Thanks for your quick input.Oh well... I'm waiting for the Whale! ;-)Ron - CYEG
