January 18, 200521 yr Hello,The wind direction and speed in the ND is not always there.Sometime it's there, mostly not.Is that a bug? Or is this because of the WX of FS2004?I use Ivap and am also wondering who is in control of the weather.regardsTeeloo
January 18, 200521 yr No Teeloo it is not. This sim is so very complex my friend, not something one can just "guess" about functions or how systems really work. When you takeoff does it show about 100 knots?? Maybe there is good reason for that ;-)There is no weather or weather rardar.
Randy J. Smith
Randy J Smith
January 19, 200521 yr Hi Teeloo,Ivap is not "injecting" weather into MSFS it takes weather datas from where ever and produces an arrow with dir/speed on the TCAS screen of Ivap. AS2004 is "injecting" weather into MSFS. Now the wind speed and direction you see on the ND are determined by the settings you have choosen in AS2004 and eventually in FSUIPC. You may very well have setup AS2004 so that it does not interfere below certain parmeter limits. It may be a good idea to post your AS2004 config file on the Activesky forum and ask whether the settings are correct. Finally I vaguely remember that the Ivap developpers recommend to switch of the Ivap weather at this stage of the development. I don't remember the reasons but you may want to read some explanation on the IVAO forum.Cheers. Michael
