Wind (- - - / - - ) indication on ND missing

Featured Replies

In the PMDG menu I set the wind display to ON.However, there are times, I don't get any indication at all.Is that because of conflicting weather info: FS9 vs Active Sky vs Ivap?regardsTeeloo

If you are on the ground nothing is displayed. If you are flying then there isn't any wind. Maybe your weather provider doesn't have winds aloft information for the area you are flying in.

Hi Teeloo,Here's the information on the wind display from the AOM:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/104680.jpgI doubt it is a weather conflict. The display will just read whatever wind is currently around the aircraft and doesn't care for where it came from.Hope it helps,David

Thanks guys! Cool diagram.Well to be honest, if it doesn't show anything airborne, I bet there is not wind generated at that point. So it must be the weather then.I use Active Sky...I'll try to log the occurences and try to find out the problemthanks so far!Teeloo
