FMC and Required Runway Length

Recommended Posts

Guest MSMITH6

Just curious as to whether the FMC in real life (or our simulted one)has the capability based upon entered data to compute the required takeoff roll. I can't find anything about it, but I would presume it should be able to with the weight, temperature, altitude, and barometric settings as input.Thanks-

Not that I am aware of. There is the RWY POS UPD for displaced threshold entries and contaminated entries on the TO REF page for wet/dry and slope etc. Performance data is in the FPPM and pilots have charts for lengths on all availible rwys.. It's not like you will ever see a large aircraft taking off from a small rwy that is used mainly for GAs..
Randy J. Smith
