Ive been finding I'm getting "seemingly" random instances of the A/T not engaging. Its always at the start of the flight, and the TOGA will not select nor will A/T arm inflight. It usually works fine for me, so I imagine its something I'm causing myself. Any input? I dont use VNAV as I find it usually conflicts with 2004s ATC. I use LNAV, and set in my speed/altitude manually.

Are you randomly not engaging your engine driven generators? This would be the cause for 99.9% of all failured attempts to engage A/T.Hope it helps,
