Flashing textures on take-off roll

Featured Replies

Has anyone experienced fast flashing runway textures on take off roll? If so, is it fix-able?Thanks,Astro

Yes - I did with my Geforce2 GTS, and although this is probably not the fix you are looking for, I bought an ATI Radeon 8500 and I don't have that problem anymore. I think it is probably an issue within the Nvidia drivers (assuming you have an Nvidia card). If that is the case, with Nvidia's constant driver updates, it will probably be fixed at some point.

Have it too, but only when flying the B767PIC.It's not consequent either.I'm using 29.80 and expect it to be a DirectX issue.I'm waiting for the non-redistro XP-release...Apprantly it fixed a lot of shimmering with other users. You could try it and see what it does.Cheers.

Just uncheck the T&L box and problem solved. I'm running a GTS64 card and the card still gives me T&L even with the in game box unchecked but does so without the flashing textures on certain runways.

First read the thread here started via Paul regarding Directx 8.1B.Had the same problem however just moved about 30 minutes ago my third party scenery out of the add-on scenery directory.Made a new directory with the add-on scenery so forced FS2002 to rebuild the indexes etc...Further I'll moved my scenery Lago Schiphol 2002 down in the scenery list with the lowest priority regarding the add-on scenery I'll have... :-)Have checked all my problem airports and my problems are solved :-) :-)So final conclusion for me in my case it's solved this behavior:- rebuild of the indexes- or a conflicting scenery moved down in the scenery list...awfEHAMXP2000+A7V3331gb ddrAsus 7700 VTI 64 MB DDRDirectX8.1B7200 rpm hdWin2K Pro SP2 Etc...
