Will PMDG website survive the rush?

Featured Replies

I am wondering if the PMDG website will cope when the 744 is finally released and hundreds - or thousands - of people rush all at once to buy and download it?I am assuming that PMDG have considered the inevitable stampede and have taken steps to ensure that the website won't crash?

Vin why do you always have to crack me up?:-lol

IS it running in shotgun mode? If so that will be such a sweet 2 kbps download. Im going to take advantage of the triple OC3 backbone at work to get it.

A buddy of mine was an engineer for Bell Atlantic, he said "Buck we have DSL, you want it?". I was number 8 in my old city Worcester, MA.After installation I was on the phone with my brother, on a stormy winter night, who lived 15 miles away, how fast is it he asked. I said I downloaded 100 MB since we started talking ( about 5 minutes), he said your BSing me. He drove thru the snowstorm, by the time he arrived I had downloaded Star Office plus the 300MB update.Sure beat my first 100bod modem, it only took about 4 monthes to fix the kinks. They gave me the phone number to call the BA engineers in Buffalo ,NY. Today it's hardly ever down.A nice HP DL-585 would handle the load?Best
