RR engines

I dont think(sorry i fly Airbus not a 744) the RR is the most efficient engine for the 744.WHy.Well the 400ER the long range variant bought by QF was fitted with GE's RR as perthe rest of the fleet.WHy?Extra fuel efficiency of the GE apparantly was the major reason for the swap in the fleet engines.Given most Qantas 400ER flights are prett long(YSSY-KLAX,YMML-KLAX etc)one can see why.And given its a prett major move to establsh a new engine in the fleet the bonuses must be fairly major.Now where is that Wunala repaint!!!CheersDArren
