Problems with saved flights

Featured Replies

Is there a reason why the PMDG 747 has difficulties climbing - and even turning - after having been saved as a flight in FS9? After having restarted a flight from Dallas to San Francisco today, I spent many minutes trying to get my aircraft to climb to FL390. This just didn't work, and I had to request a flight level descent to FL280 instead. Turns were also terribly mixed up; when expecting to turn right, my aircraft would suddenly turn left and visa versa. Does this happen to others out there? :-hmmm

Has this been asked before? Or will the new update address this situation? I would love to be able to save flights, but this doesn't exactly encourage me to do so. Thanks for any suggestions.

I've saved flights after landing and shutting down with no probs on the startup. I have never saved a flight while in the air if that's what you mean.louross.

Mark,There are no reports as far as I remember fo these two issues being connected to saved flights. You might encounter these problems though. For the first problem to climb I would check my payload and fuel load. Fully loaded you wont be able to climb to FL390 on one go. Step climbs would be the option here. Check out what the FMC tells you for OPT altitude when you do the preflight programming. The second problem is a glitch with the wheel on the mouse and HDG SEL. You can work around it in two ways. Don't use the wheel when changing the value or select HDG HLD while using your wheel.HOpe it helps,
