November 18, 200520 yr Download Section still don't work on site...Problem========= Page connot be displayed if u are using IE6 OR Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Operation must use an updateable query./downloads/inc_downloading.asp, line 39If you are using firefox Issue==============this problem occurs on a page when an event is updating or inserting into a recordset. Meaning either PMDG is still in the update process or their Database Manager left out a few basic steps when configuring the their web site database/ download section..Solution==============There are several things that may cause this ODBC error. Many of the possible reasons are listed in the table below.I.The permissions that are set on the directory the database is in.IUSR privileges must be set to "read/write".II.The permissions on the database itself do not have full read/write privileges in effect.III. This error can also occur when the database is located outside of the inetpub/wwwroot directory. Though the information is still able to be viewed and searched, it cannot be updated unless it is in the wwwroot directory.;)KEY NOTE: for users to download the files it should be set to Read.NOTE: coustomers thinking it's a problem with their PC well it's not it's a database error that need to be corrected.right now PMDG are at 90% operational.............Callsign: Higher^LevelF22 Diamond-Back Sqd.US AirForce
